The Tasman Blowhole
The Tasman Blowhole is an unusual rock formation carved by the sea through the sheer rock face of the eastern coast of the Peninsula and creating a tunnel through which the force of the sea causes periodic ruptures of the water which can spurt to 10 metres high.
It is best seen at high tide, but is attractive at any time. The Tasman Arch, Tasman Blowhole and Devil's Kitchen are grouped together near Doo Town and Penzance immediately after crossing the Eaglehawk Neck onto the Tasman Peninsula. Tessellated Pavement
Just before crossing 'the neck' there is a walking track opposite the Lufa Hotel Resort to the very interesting Tessellated Pavement -an interesting formation of square rock. They look like they have been laid by man. A couple of minutes walk takes you to a view high above the pavement. The path leads on a hundred metres further to steps leading down to the shore.
